Composer, pianist, vocalist, and filmmaker Samora Pinderhughes will present a work-in-progress showing of I Hope This Finds You Well, a developing multidisciplinary music performance work which combines detailed compositional work with the participatory energy of a concert, the character-driven structure of theater, and the guiding principle of the chorus. The piece will amplify the testimonials of those harmed by incarceration, policing, and detention, imagining a world that supports vulnerability — an artistic celebration of resilience, repair, and resistance.
This showing is the culmination of Pinderhughes’ residency at ArtYard, a partnership of ArtYard and Pomegrante Arts. ArtYard is committed to supporting artists as they develop new work and inviting our community to experience groundbreaking art and to step inside the creative process. Join us in supporting creative incubation!
