Artist Ash Eliza Williams will lead a gallery walk through her new exhibition, The Dreams of Small Animals.
The Dreams of Small Animals imagines the inner lives of specific beings. What would it feel like to be a bird migrating through a storm, or a beetle navigating the forest undergrowth? How does the sensory world of a caterpillar differ from our own? A grouping of paintings arranged in a film sequence format describes the imagined dreams of each creature. The show also includes small sculptures, drawings, color studies, and field notes exploring the intimate stories and imagined languages of beings we often overlook.
The exhibition opens Saturday, June 21, with a public reception from 6 to 8 PM.
The gallery walk on Sunday morning is free. An artist talk with Brian House, whose exhibition Synchronizing Uncertainty also opens on June 21, follows the event.
