Join ArtYard for a conversation with artist Brian House to get a behind-the-scenes look into Synchronizing Uncertainty.
In Synchronizing Uncertainty, Brian House explores the nature of individuality and belonging. This immersive exhibition invites visitors to experience the polyrhythmic process by welcoming them into a space populated with hundreds of electronic circuits generating periodic, oscillating signals — each simultaneously pulsing its distinct white light and synthesized sound. During the exhibition’s three-month span, the circuits will attempt to find an elusive equilibrium, ever-changing as visitors move through the space, forcing the system to renegotiate independence and synchronicity.
The exhibition opens Saturday, June 21, with a public reception from 6 to 8 PM.
The artist talk on Sunday afternoon is free. A gallery walk of The Dreams of Small Animals with artist Ash Eliza Williams precedes this event.
