Frenchtown Cemetery Tour

  • 17 May 2025
  • 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
  • Frenchtown Cemetery, Trenton Ave, Frenchtown, NJ

A FRENCHTOWN CEMETERY TOUR is set for Saturday. May 17, at 2 p.m.

In the Lower Cemetery Tour, we’ll pay our respects at the graves of Capt. William Slater, who lost a leg in the Civil War; 19th-century juvenile delinquents Dory Williams and Lew Slater; Lillian Hinkle, who was slain by her son-in-law; and William Roberson, who swam away from the deadly Milford train wreck of 1877.

The tour costs $20 (cash or Venmo) and it’s free for teenagers. (Some teenagers like hearing an old man tell stories, and surprisingly some don’t.) The tour takes about 90 minutes, but it can go longer if there’s nowhere you have to be.

You’ll need to register so I’ll know to show up. Otherwise, I’ll just stay home and bother my wife. Just send an email to RickEpstein@yahoo.com.

The rest of the schedule for May and June is like this:

Bad Luck & Poor Choices Tour, Sunday, May 25, 2 p.m.

Lower Cemetery Tour, Monday, June 2, 1 p.m.

Downtown Tour, Saturday, June 21, 10 a.m.

Upper Cemetery Tour, Saturday, June 28, 10 a.m.
