The Sunday Music Club welcomes the Philadelphia native, whose inspirations include bossa nova, 1950s West Coast jazz, and piano pop standards, for a Memorial Day Weekend show. Avi Wisnia is an award-winning songwriter and pianist whose embrace of classic jazz and American standards draws comparisons to Rufus Wainwright or Ben Folds. Reviewers praise his "gloriously summery jazz-soul fusion, awash with shiny pianos and smooth vocals." He has performed at the Kennedy Center and has toured in Japan, Poland, and of course, Brazil. Tickets are $20, available at frenchtownbookshop.com
