Vasiliki Katsarou, Dodge poet, along with Rick Epstein, Frenchtown borough historian, will lead a generative poetry walk through the landscapes and history of Frenchtown.
Participants will learn about forgotten local histories, reflect upon personal stories, and use the rhythm of walking to write a first draft poem about the experience. No writing experience is necessary.
Participants allow themselves to use “beginner’s mind,” their heightened powers of observation, and the rhythm of their own walking to respond to places and spaces both real and imagined.
Visit ArtYard.org to register. It costs $44.06.
