When you think of home, what do you imagine? For me, I taste coffee on a chilly autumn morning, reading an enchanting book, and fuzzy socks. Home should be a place where you can recharge, a place to inspire and nurture you. Coldwell Banker Hearthside’s mission is to help you find that sanctuary.

Since 1991, Coldwell Banker Hearthside has been a trusted companion to home seekers. They have nine locations across Bucks and Lehigh counties, and of course one right here in Frenchtown! “Frenchtown was an ideal place to open an office because it’s right along the river. I think that Frenchtown brings in a lot of people because of their quaint stores and helpful residents,” says Barbara Groogan.

Barbara is a sales associate and broker manager of the office. She sells and lists homes, and manages the office and other agents. Barbara was originally attracted to this line of work because of the flexible hours. “The other reason is just the interest in homes and helping people; I just love doing that!”

Her colleague Laura Baczewski is a sales agent as well. “I originally got involved [in real estate] because I always wanted to check out all these houses that were for sale,” (something we all can relate to, no doubt), “I enjoy working with the client, I get caught up in their excitement as well!”

With a company motto like, “Family First”, it’s no wonder so many folks have entrusted the agents at Coldwell Banker Hearthside with finding them their forever homes. “We’re here for other reasons too,” affirms Barbara, “we want to help the community- if someone needs something they can always call us and we’ll try to find an outlet or service for them.”  

They’ve been a member of the FBPA since the Frenchtown branch opened in 2003. “I’ve made many friendships through it, which is lovely,” adds Laura, “It’s just businesses helping businesses, hand helping hand.” Especially during tough situations like the Covid-19 pandemic, Coldwell Banker Hearthside is so grateful for the tight knit and helpful community of the FBPA. That said, Covid-19 has impacted every aspect of our lives, including our living situations. Perhaps now more than ever, the need for a safe and inviting home is paramount. 

“We just want to let people know that during this really challenging time, we will try to help you the best we can. We know buying and purchasing a home is one of the biggest moments in your life, and we’re here to make that a great experience,” says Barbara.
